Peugeot has added a new trim level to its 3008 and 5008 crossovers that includes sporty looks and a long list of kit as standard.

‘GT Line Premium’ bridges the gap in Peugeot’s model range between ‘GT Line’ and ‘GT’.

Standard equipment on both cars includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof, keyless entry, front massaging seats and a foot-operated electric tailgate.

Five engines are available on both models, with the 1.2-litre PureTech 130 S&S petrol engine kicking off the range.

Mark Pickles, marketing director at Peugeot UK, said: “From what we’ve seen so far of the impressive sales to date and recognition at industry awards, people are attracted by the diversity and quality of both the 3008 and the all-new 5008.

“By adding an all-new trim level that incorporates some of the most popular features at a competitive price – and with a host of engine choices available – we’re confident that the ‘GT Line Premium’ will be a real crowd-pleaser for 2018.”

The 3008 ‘GT Line Premium’ costs from £28,590, while the 5008 starts from £30,565.

The extra equipment fitted to both models amounts individually to an extra £2,720 on top of the ‘GT Line’, although this new trim level provides all that kit for just £2,125 and £1,850 extra on the 3008 and 5008 respectively.
