New British-designed sports car made its debut at top London event.

The new Lotus Evora was unveiled at the British Motor Show yesterday and were on site to provide a first-hand account of the exciting new addition to the iconic Lotus family.

Taking just 21 months from concept to the finished product, the Evora is the first all-new Lotus tomake its debutsince the Elise back in 1995.

The Evora is marketed as the world’s only mid-engined 2+2 sports car, powered by a 3.5 litre V6 engine producing 280PS. The Evora promises a breathtaking ride and experts are certain that it will appeal to a multitude of car enthusiasts.

As well as excellent performance and handling, the Evora has a classical twist. It is designed to provide a more refined ownership experience, sporting an elegant cabin coupled with a signature grill and a sleek body. Wider and taller doors allow for ease of entry and exit to the cabin while the interior design of the cabin will allow a 6 foot 5inch tall male to sit comfortably.

The Lotus Evora will be available to buy from Spring 2009 and will be the most thoroughly tested Lotus in the company’s history. Only 2000 cars will be produced per year ensuring the dynamic new sports car’s remains exclusive.
