Whether you’re in the market for a brand new motor, or just an enthusiast eager to find out about a manufacturer’s latest offerings, motor shows can be the ideal opportunity to pore over your latest dream car up close.
However, one Chinese man got more than he bargained for when he took his wife to the Guangzhou motor show, after she vandalised a car on display in an attempt to force him to buy it for her.
Captured on video, which you can watch above, the woman is seen scratching the bonnet of a white luxury hybrid, before being dragged away from it by her spouse and security guards.
The woman reportedly justified her actions by claiming that she deserved the vehicle as compensation for her marriage – stating that she was “getting old” while her husband “still looks young”, according to the Metro.
While it is perhaps one of the most bizarre domestic incidents ever to befall a motoring event, it’s perhaps a stern warning to blokes everywhere, not to take your better half to a motoring show unless you can keep her in the car she really wants to be driving.
