Proving that the global recession isn't quite as bad as the media likes to make out, prospective homebuyers in Dubai are being tempted by developers offering high-end luxury cars alongside posh apartments.
Buy a penthouse in the exclusive Damac Maison development in the city’s Mall Street, and you’ll get a brand new Lamborghini Aventador (worth £260,040) thrown into the deal.
The high-rise tower is the work or renowned German architects Koshany & Zimmer, and offers opulent accommodation to cater to the playboy lifestyles of Dubai’s wealthy elite.
Don’t worry if you can’t stretch to the penthouse, as certain other select properties within the building are to be offered with a BMW or Mini Cooper, depending on the size of the apartment and a customer's wallet.
According to Damac senior vice president, Niall McLoughlin, such marketing gimmicks proved popular with buyers.
“Damac Properties’ promotion is always highly anticipated and we see some of the best results of the year during this time,” he said.
A similar Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) promotion was run by the company last year, with Penthouses coming with a brand new Audi R8, and a selection of Audi saloon cars offered with one and two bedroom units.
Damac has also given away everything from yachts to private Caribbean islands during its DSF promotions.
