A rare Toyota Celica Supra has surfaced on online auction site eBay, with a current bid of less than £3,000.

The vintage A40 Celica Supra features classic 1970s styling, finished in two-tone Graphite Grey and Silver Metallic with a contrasting burgundy velour interior.

The exterior of the car is striking and easily recognizable. Four open headlights surround the grille, while 14-inch Keystone aluminium alloy wheels with Goodyear GT Eagles sport radial tires with mud flaps sit at all four corners.

Offered by Saint Louis, Missouri-based dealership MotoeXotica, the model has covered just 61,116 miles in its 36-years on the road and is reportedly in excellent condition for its age.

In the car’s description, the dealer writes: “The front and rear color-keyed bumpers and bumper strips fit well and finish is very good. All trim pieces are present and have a great finish. The headlights and taillights are in very good condition with no hazing or cracks. Included is an optional sunroof and shadow kit which consist of side and rear louvered window covers.”

The Supra is powered by a 2.6L 4M-E inline-6, which is fed by electronic fuel injection. Power is transmitted through a W50 five-speed manual transmission, while power steering and power brakes also feature.

The rare Japanese period sports car has so far gleaned surprisingly little interest. With just seven hours left on the sale, it is current on its 14th bid, at $3,500 (£2,660), with the reserve not yet met.
