Peugeot has announced a revitalisation of its 108 city car, with a range of new features and colours now available.

Two new colours, new engines and a capacitive colour touchscreen have been touted by the French manufacturer as they look to create new interest in the 108.

The new engine, a 1.0-litre unit, has been introduced in light of the upcoming Euro 6.2 emissions regulations, which will see a more stringent set of tests come into force, with a lower benchmark for companies to achieve with their petrol and diesel engines.

Two new colours will also be available on the Allure and Collection variants of the 108, Green Fizz and Calvi Blue.

Three new trim levels have also been introduced. White, Green and Blue ‘Square Jusa’ trims will be available to purchase on various different 108 variants including the cabriolet roof ‘TOP!’ collection models, dependent on the exterior colour the buyer chooses.

Technology enhancements include a new and improved capacitive colour touchscreen with a Mirror Screen system, which allows drivers to display apps on the 7” touchscreen and manage them using the vehicles controls. The infotainment system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The touchscreen is available as standard on Active trim level and above and comes with DAB Digital radio, and a USB and 3.5mm jack for external device connectivity.

Pricing for the Peugoet 108 starts at £8,384.
