LEGO has released an all-new model – the Type 1 Volkswagen Beetle.
Built using 1,167 pieces, it measures 11 inches high and 10 inches long. To recreate all of the ‘beach’ style that the original ‘Bug’ was famous for, it features a surfboard, cool box and even a beach towel.
On top of this, the front of the car opens up to reveal a spare tyre, while the rear hatch can be opened to show the car’s four-cylinder air-cooled engine, just like the real thing.
It comes with a choice of four licence plates, as well as surf stickers on the rear window.
Designers of the car even managed to create an all-new curved piece, which allowed them to be able to recreate the car’s elegant bumpers. There’s even a specially-designed Volkswagen badge on the bonnet, as well as on the fuel cap.
This incredible model will go on sale at the start of August for around £75.
