Land Rover has announced a new Defender V8 Bond Edition to celebrate the launch of the upcoming No Time To Die James Bond film later this month.

Land Rover’s Defender plays an important role in the 25th 007 film, starring alongside two Range Rover Sport SVRs and various classic models.

Inspired by the specification of the cars that appear in No Time to Die, the Bond Editions get a range of elements developed by Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division.

Featuring a full extended black package, the models also get gloss black 22-inch alloy wheels and ‘Xenon Blue’ brake callipers, along with special ‘007’ badging and puddle lamps.

Inside, the model gets unique 007 treadplates, along with a specially developed start-up animation on the main touchscreen.

Finbar McFall, Land Rover brand director, said: “The Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition is an exclusive take on the most powerful production Defender ever made, inspired by vehicles on screen in No Time To Die. It represents a meeting of two great British brands and is a unique celebration of Land Rover’s 38-year association with James Bond.”

Each version features Land Rover’s latest 518bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine, which is able to accelerate this big SUV to 60mph in just 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 149mph.

Buyers will be able to choose the Bond Edition in either a short ‘90’ configuration or in the longer ‘110’ version. Just five 90 models will come to the UK, and 10 of the 110 models out of an overall global production run of 300.

The two models are available to order now, with the 90 priced from £105,395 and the 110 from £108,040. No Time to Die is released in UK cinemas on September 30.
