They say, “Money doesn’t buy you happiness,” which may or may not be true, but money does buy a one-off Ferrari made specially by an ultra exclusive division of the Italian supercar manufacturer.
Badged the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta TRS, the Special Projects machine boasts a targa-style open-top roof and a bucket load of aggressive bodywork, transforming one of the fastest Ferrari's ever made into a topless monster.
Details regarding the owner are scarce but Jalopnik revealed that the model was commissioned by a wealthy US customer who allegedly parted with $4.2million (£2.5million), making the $1.4million (£825,000) LaFerrari look affordable in comparison.
Ferrari fan pages are already abuzz with rumours surrounding the bespoke piece, with the FerrariChat forum stating that the car is likely to be fitted with Formula 1-style KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) technology that would see the usual 730bhp from its 6.2-litre V12 engine temporarily boosted at the press of a button.
Performance figures have also been kept secret for now but expect the 0-62mph time of 3.1 seconds to be improved upon thanks to the alleged introduction of KERS and the 225mph top speed stretched even further.
