Motors.co.uk has launched a brand new campaign to give UK parents advice and information on rear-facing car seats.

The campaign began after Motors.co.uk discovered an alarming lack of advice and information was available to UK parents on the safety benefits of rear-facing car seats, despite the fact that using rear-facing car seats on an on-going basis can be up to five times safer than switching a child to forward-facing seats after the 18 month or 13kg milestone.

To combat the shortage of guidance available on the issue, Motors.co.uk has developed a website dedicated to the rear-facing campaign cause, which provides facts and figures, as well as guides on where you can buy rear-facing seats for the UK market and short, easy to follow videos on how to fit your rear-facing car seat. The website also covers popular issues such as how to entertain a child in a rear-facing car seat.

Motors.co.uk are also holding a competition to give away a BeSafe rear-facing car seat worth over £200 to one lucky winner, which will keep the child as safe as possible on car journeys all the way up to four years of age.

Parents can get involved in the campaign and have their say on the forum, as well as sharing their own opinions, ideas, tips and advice. You can find all the information you need on rear facing car seats, view the video guides and enter the competition at rearfacing.motors.co.uk. Don't forget to sign up to the forum to take part and join in with the debate!
