Fiat has announced an update to the Fiat 500 range, as well as the introduction of two new trims at the top end of the supermini’s line-up.

Dubbed Star and Rockstar, the new trims feature a high level of standard equipment and technology.

The 500 Star sets itself apart with new metallic ‘Powder Pink’ paintwork, as well as chrome styling accents, a fixed glass roof and 16-inch alloy wheels. The interior is available in white sand or black colour combinations, or a new Matelasse finish with ‘techno-leather’ details and embroidered 500 logo.

If Powder Pink doesn’t suit you, there is a range of other colours available such as Epic Blue, Urban White and Tech House Grey.

Meanwhile, the Rockstar trim looks to add a sporting edge to the 500.

Its bumpers and side sills are taken from the Sport trim, and like the Star, it features 16-inch alloy wheels and a fixed glass roof. It also comes with the option of an exclusive colour scheme – Portofino Green – and an extensive selection from Fiat’s back catalogue of paints.

The interior gets pinstripe fabric seats, which are edged with black eco leather.

The 500 Star is available from £15,395, while the Rockstar version can be had from £15,565.

In addition to the two new trims, Fiat has updated the overall range to include its Uconnect 7-inch HD infotainment touchscreen as standard from Lounge spec upwards. This system is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible.

In addition, all Fiat 500 customers will receive the added perk of a complementary six-month subscription to the Apple Music streaming service, to celebrate the Italian marque’s 120thanniversary.
