Fiat has introduced a new range of more connected ‘Hey Google’ models to its 500-badged line-up of cars.

Available for the 500, 500X and 500L, the new series utilises some of the tech giant’s assistance system know-how.

It will see the trio of cars equipped with the Hey Google voice assistant, which gives drivers the ability to interact with their vehicles in a new way – even when they’re at home. It can be accessed either via their smartphone or a Google Nest Hub – which comes included as part of a welcome pack with each car – and allows owners to check the fuel levels in the car, where it is parked or even how many miles it has travelled during the day, all by ‘asking’ the system.

A variety of security features have also been incorporated into the setup. It’ll alert the car’s owner if it detects a theft being undertaken and will also sound an alarm if the car leaves a preset area.

All three cars boast a range of bespoke touches introduced for the special series, including Hey Google badges above the wheel arches and similar logos for the seats inside. The dashboard itself is finished in a matt silver colour with a contrasting white 500 logo.

Prices for the ‘Hey Google’ range start from £16,005 for the 500 hybrid hatch or £18,655 for the cabrio version. The 500X, meanwhile, starts from £20,764 for a manual version or £23,264 for the automatic. Finally, prices for the larger 500L commence from £20,345.
