Audi has added a Black Edition trim to the Audi A6 and the Avant estate.

The new trim – which builds on the existing S line specification – will serve as the flagship for the A6 range, with prices starting from £44,635.

Visually, there are several details to pick out Black Editions from the rest of the line-up. They upgrade from a 19-inch wheel to a gloss turned 20-inch V-spoke design. In addition, a black finish is present on the radiator grille surround, front air intakes, door mirror housings and rear diffuser. Privacy glass is installed on the rear windows.

As it is based on the S line trim, the Black Edition A6 also features sports suspension, Matrix LED headlights and performance-centric styling enhancements.

The interior is headlined by sports seats trimmed in leather and Alcantara, a leather sports steering wheel, and a pair of full HD colour touch screens measuring 8.6 and 8.8 inches wide. Further enhancements, including an enhanced satellite navigation system with Google earth mapping, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument binnicale and a larger 10.1-inch upper infotainment screen can all be had by adding the Technology Pack to their Black Edition A6.

The Black Edition trim is available with each mild hybrid powertrain in the A6 line-up.
