The Classic & Sports Car Show will once again be celebrating the artistic side of the automotive industry, with a wide range of artists set to exhibit at the Alexandra Palace event from sculptors and photographers, to painters and digital renderers.
Tim Layzell, the UK-based artist who created the supercar-themed poster for the event, will showcase some of his eye-catching pieces at the show, taking place 28th – 30th October.
As a motorsport fan and former competitor, his passion for racing is evident in his ‘pop-art’ style paintings, which give a different perspective on the automotive world. His piece for the show features a Mercedes-Benz SSK, Jaguar XKSS, Ferrari F40, Bugatti Veyron and Lamborghini Miura at Alexandra Palace: just a handful of the amazing cars featured in the initial ‘A Century of Supercars’ shortlist.
London artist and silk-screen printer Ella Freire will be displaying her collection of limited edition classic car prints. Having had a grandfather who used to race at Brooklands in the 1930s, her love of classic cars is no surprise. Her printing process allows her to highlight specific areas of each car, in a simple deconstruction of colours, which is then built back up using a layering mix of metallic, gloss and matt substrates, mounted in an acrylic frame.
In honour of the Show’s supercar theme and in celebration of the Miura’s 50th anniversary, Ella will be displaying a special piece of the iconic Lamborghini on her stand. Combining photography, computer graphics and 3D work, Unique & Limited recreates major historical events, showing them in a new perspective, colour and detail.
The company will be featuring two new projects at the event, the Porsche 911 RSR at Targa Florio in 1973 with Van Lennep and the McLaren M23 with James Hunt at the Japanese Grandprix in 1976. The latter has been produced in association with McLaren and the James Hunt Estate to commemorate James’ 40th Anniversary of winning the World Championship. With an eye-catching range of interior items from lamps and speakers to chairs and tables, Historics Collection creates beautiful pieces for the home using historic racing parts.
The exhibitor will be showcasing its selection of race-team inspired oil drum furniture, including chairs, sofas and tables at the event. Also joining the event is Paul Pennell of Artistry in Aluminium, who creates beautiful handmade repouss̩ metalwork pieces Рa technique which lends itself to depicting cars and creating motoring art.
The unique three dimensional images give fantastic reflections, portraying their subjects in a totally different way to that of a traditional painting. Silent Autos Diecast Model Cars is a family business that brings petrolheads the most detailed, lovingly-crafted replicas including great favourites from Lamborghinis and Jaguars to Ferraris and Bugattis. The company’s display at the show will feature a range of models including an Aston Martin DB5, a Jaguar E-Type and the Jaguar D-Type that won Le Mans in 1955.
Founded by illustrator Mark Morgan and fuelled by caffeine and a passion for cars, Triple Espresso features a stunning range of automotive-inspired original paintings, prints and t-shirts, with a particular focus on Porsches. Mark will be showcasing numerous of his vintage-style pieces at the event.
Another leading artist present will be Kikki H, whose pieces are a mix of old and new and portray stories from the world of motorsport depicting famous racing drivers, spectacular cars and well known racing tracks.

The second staging of the annual event at Alexandra Palace will feature hundreds of the world’s most prestigious classic cars from world-famous collectors and world-renowned classic car retailers. This year’s show will be a celebration of supercars, with a global vote to find the best ever made currently underway.
The 11 finalists will be on display in a special ‘Century of Supercars’ feature with the overall winner set to be revealed at the event. Visitors to The Classic & Sports Car Show this autumn will also be treated to the sight and sound of some of the world’s most iconic historic cars as they take part in a host of on-road parades in the Palace grounds against a stunning central London backdrop.
Other highlights include a classic car auction with world-renowned Coys, a feature showing the restoration of a unique Jaguar XK120 by Pininfarinaby Classic Motor Cars (CMC) in association with Totaland a Live Interview Stage presented by Goodwood Road & Racing. Situated under the iconic Grand Willis Organ, customers can also enjoy a selection of premium food and wine while looking out on the spectacular show displays in the Fine Dining Restaurant.
