Electric vehicle incentives are monetary benefits given by the government, local councils and employers to make owning and driving an electric vehicle cheaper.
What electric vehicle incentives are available?
Over the years there have been several incentives introduced. Current incentives include Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) Exemption (road tax), congestion charge and ultra-low emission zone (ULEZ) benefits, plug-in vehicle grants, electric vehicle chargepoint grants, the On-Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme and Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) tax for company cars.
