The World Car Awards has announced its three finalists for the overall car of the year, with all three models being EVs for the first time.
Voted for by 102 motoring journalists from across 33 countries, this year it’s the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6 that have been named as the three finalists.Â
Let’s start with the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which is the brand’s bold new electric SUV that gets styling inspiration from the iconic Mustang muscle car it shares a name with. Packed with a range of technology, the line-up has recently been expanded with a sporty new GT version. It also has one of the longest ranges of any EV, as it can travel up to 379 miles from a single charge.
