Volkswagen has introduced a new version of its popular Golf Estate – the Match Edition.

Replacing the car’s SE trim, the Match Edition brings with it all manner of standard equipment. Outside, there’s 16-inch alloy wheels and front fog lights. On top of this, remote electrically folding door mirrors are also fitted, as are door mirror puddle lights. The passenger’s door mirror also automatically adjusts to a kerb view upon selection of reverse.

Inside, there’s just as much on offer. A 6.5-inch colour touchscreen system is now included, which incorporates Bluetooth connectivity, DAB radio and CD player. It also features Discover Navigation, which is able to relay points of interest and speed limits back to the driver. It also provides live traffic updates and current local fuel pricing.

Even parking space availability is displayed, as is weather and news feeds. This system comes with a free three-year subscription.

There’s even more that the First Edition offers. Inside, heated seats add to the car’s luxury, as do headlight washers and heated windscreen washer jets.

When priced separately, these components come to £1,975. However, they can be added via the Match Edition specification for just £100 over the standard price of the car. As such, the Golf Estate Match Edition retails at £22,045.

As one of the most versatile Golf models available, the Match Edition provides customers with an excellent opportunity to purchase the vehicle with a host of additional equipment, without the added cost usually associated with them.
