Nissan has added a new limited-production ‘N-Motion’ trim to the range of its Sunderland-built Qashqai crossover.

The N-Motion builds on the spec of the N-Connecta version, with added styling touches and equipment.

Styling differences include silver front and rear bumper plates with matching-coloured door mirrors and roof rails. Adaptive LED headlights and new 19-inch ‘Ibiscus’ alloy wheels are also offered, while free Gun Metallic paint (usually £575) is thrown into the package.

On the inside, the N-Motion features redesigned front seats, as well as burnt orange bolsters, with matching coloured stitching to the seats, knee pads, centre console and front door trim. As standard it also comes with ‘sports-style’ floor mats, as well as a handy liner to protect the boot.

Prices for the N-Motion start at £25,345, with the model benefitting from £1,205 of extras for just £300 more than the N-Connecta costs when equipped with the panoramic glass roof.

N-Motion trim is available on all front-wheel-drive Qashqais, which includes the 1.3-litre petrol engine and the 1.5- and 1.7-litre diesel engines.

An updated Qashqai went on sale at the end of 2018. While it looked identical to the previous version, the popular crossover received a new 1.3-litre petrol engine, which was offered with either 138bhp or 158bhp, as well as a new dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The crossover is also fitted with a new NissanConnect touchscreen system, which offers better smartphone connectivity, over-the-air software updated and access to online services — such as ‘Find My Car’.

Nissan has also now made a range-wide adjustment to the Qashqai range, too, with the 113bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine now offered with the aforementioned dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The British-built Qashqai was the fourth best-selling car in the UK in 2018, and the most popular crossover, with over 50,000 being registered.
