The Japanese firm says the model will appeal to those ‘who want a vehicle that matches their love of life off the beaten track’, and gets a range of bold styling elements to give it more of a muscular appearance.
Receiving a new all-black grille as well as fog lights with a new black surround, the Adventure trim also comes with widened wheel arches and matte grey 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, it benefits from a dedicated seat upholstery with contrasting orange stitching, along with ‘Adventure’ scuff plates.
Like the rest of the RAV4 line-up, this trim features Toyota’s 219bhp petrol-electric hybrid setup, which here comes as standard with all-wheel-drive thanks to the addition of a small electric motor on the rear axle.
Alongside this new trim level, Toyota has also updated the rest of the RAV4 line-up for 2022, following this model’s introduction in 2019. Changes include new projector-type LED headlights, along with a new 10-spoke alloy wheel design. Inside, Toyota has aimed to uplift quality and convenience thanks to new LED lighting, an electric passenger seat and additional backlighting for the switchgear.
Prices and specs are yet to be announced, but a small increase on the current model’s £31,095 starting price is likely. Toyota says that UK deliveries of the updated car can be expected in the first quarter of 2022.
