Land Rover’s remote charging points
The number of charging points around the UK is steadily increasing, but rather than going down the traditional route of putting chargers at the side of motorways and in supermarket car parks, Land Rover is ensuring its off-road enthusiasts are well catered for even away from the tarmac.
That’s why the latest charger is on Scotland’s Isle of Skye is 15 miles away from the nearest road, and becomes the UK’s most remote EV charger. But good luck getting there, even in a plug-in hybrid Range Rover P400e!
The Inbetweeners-inspired Fiat Panda
Remember Simon’s infamous Fiat Cinquecento from The Inbetweeners? Well, to mark 10 years of the TV show, Fiat is offering buyers the chance to get behind the wheel of an all-new Panda Hawaii special edition, which is inspired by the series.
It features a period-style M-registration plate, black plastic bumpers and a radio cassette player, which harks back to the Cinquecento. It also comes with a mismatched red door like the car from the hilarious hit TV series.
If you recall Jay’s ‘incident’ with the squirrel, you’ll be pleased to know that the Panda Hawaii comes with an anti-squirrel avoidance system.

LED reminders for forgetful drivers
If you’re as useless at remembering birthdays as we are, Skoda’s new LED reminder system could prove to be very handy.
Using smartphone images and linking to your diary, the Skoda ‘ProjectaPal’ can project messages out onto the road whenever the door is opened. It means it’ll be impossible to forget bin days ever again. The tech is fitted as standard to the Karoq, and is available to order from today, April 1.
MG’s colouring tyres
If you want to go out and literally paint the town red, you can now do so with MG’s new road-colouring tyres that can paint any colour of the rainbow.
For a limited time only, the innovative tyres are fitted as standard on the MG3 hatchback and should add a dose of flair to your journey, ensuring you leave your mark wherever you go.
Electrically customisable paint
Think the colour of your car isn’t bold enough, but don’t want to have it wrapped or resprayed? Well car customisers Kahn Design has launched the world’s first electrically customisable paint (ECP). Three billion diodes in the paint mean the paint colour can be changed in just one tap using Kahn’s smartphone app. We’re not sure how much it will be yet…
