The DS 7 Crossback Louvre has been revealed as a special-edition SUV created in partnership with the world-renowned Le Louvre art gallery in Paris.

Said to be inspired by the ‘art of travel’, the Louvre special edition is available in three colours – Ink Blue, Perla Nera Black or Platinum Grey. It then features special ‘Louvre’ badging on the bonnet, front wings and boot that are inspired by the famous pyramid shape of the museum.

It also comes with a unique set of 20-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, while gaining gloss black styling throughout.

Inside, the DS 7 Crossback’s 12-inch touchscreen has access to images of 182 pieces of art from the museum’s collection, while featuring a host of pyramid cues – including in the leather upholstery and air vents.

Based on the top-spec ‘Ultra Prestige’ trim level, the Louvre model will be available exclusively with a 222bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, combined with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

And while not so much use in the UK, the car also comes with a free annual pass to the Le Louvre museum in Paris.

Jules Tilstone, managing director of DS Automobiles UK said: “The incredible opportunity to collaborate with the famous Louvre museum in Paris has resulted in the exceptional and exclusive DS 7 Crossback Louvre. DS Automobiles’ relationship with this world renowned museum stretches back more than half a decade, our shared passion for art and culture making this a strong and unique synergy.”

Prices for the Louvre model start from £46,530 – £1,500 more than the equivalent Ultra Prestige version. Order books are now open.
