When Nissan launched the original Qashqai back in 2004, no one could have predicted the impact it was to have on the family car market. Fusing the practicality and low running costs of a hatchback with the high-riding security of a big SUV, the Qashqai defined what is now know as the ‘crossover’ genre.
Fast forward to 2014, and with the Qashqai now facing a raft of talented competition, Nissan has released the second generation. Boasting sharper styling and improved quality inside, it’s appeal is certainly broader, but the Qashqai hasn’t lost its core function as a convenient family runabout, and comes with a number of innovative features designed to ease the burden of hectic lifestyles.
