A world premiere of the market-ready Toyota iQ will be held on 6th – 16th March at the Geneva Motor Show 2008.

The new Urban Cruiser SUV will also make its European debut at the show.

Toyota has created a new generation of small cars designed to satisfy the demands and preferences of modern day motorists. The cars are anticipated to command centre stage at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

The Toyota iQ measures less than three metres long and can carry three people comfortably, with room to accommodate a small child or additional luggage. The Toyota iQ contains many Japanese design elements which guarantee the comfort and safety levels found in larger vehicles.

The new Urban Cruiser is unveiled as an environmentally friendly SUV aimed at the market for urban all-road vehicles and meeting motorists' priorities for low fuel consumption and emissions. Larger than the iQ, the small car is still ideally suited for city driving.

Toyota will also exhibit its latest Plug-in Hybrid prototype and two concept cars – 1/X and i-Real. The Toyota iQ is a production-ready city car which will be priced to compete with the Smart Fortwo and will be on sale in the UK in early 2009.
