Porsche has lifted the lid on two new versions of its 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman. Both will feature the same 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine but with added power coming from a revised turbocharger and redesigned intake system.

Called the GTS, both cars will have 360bhp and be capable of going from 0 to 60mph in a blistering 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 180mph. This is thanks to 430 Nm of torque too.

On the outside there are many visual changes, such as chunkier black 20-inch alloy wheels, black logos, tinted Bi-xenon headlamps and black GTS logos on the doors to name a few.

Inside the changes continue with a sport chrono package added. This includes an integrated stopwatch located in the centre of the dashboard should you wish to time yourself on a track.

The seats are finished in a mix of half leather and central inserts made of Alcantara, and feature a GTS logo embossed on the headrests.

For its sportiest setting, Porsche has fitted both GTS models with “Porsche Track Precision APP (PTPA). This allows the driver to record driving data and display it for analysis via a phone app.

Both cars come with the option of either a six-speed manual gearbox or automatic PDK transmission that uses two clutches to change gear almost instantaneously.

Prices start at £67,898 for the Cayman GTS and £69,701 for the Boxster GTS. Both models will be in dealerships from December but are available to order now.
