Porsche has unveiled the Taycan 4S – a model variant that will sit below the recently revealed range-topping Turbo and Turbo S versions.
With 523bhp (on overboost) from its 79.2kWh battery – a 93.4kWh one producing 563bhp is also available – it’s pretty quick. The 4S can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 155mph.
When fitted with the optional 93.4kWh battery pack, named Performance Battery Plus, the car’s range is boosted from 252 to 287 miles, which is the highest in Porsche’s current Taycan range.
On first glance, the 4S doesn’t look any different to its Turbo and Turbo S counterparts, but there are a few changes including smaller 19-inch wheels, red painted brake callipers and a revised bodykit. It also gets smaller brakes – six pistons at the front and four at the rear.
The Taycan 4S is priced from £83,367 (excluding the £3,500 government grant) and is available to order now.
Like other Taycans in the line-up, including the £138,000 Turbo S, it comes with three year’s access to Ionity’s rapid chargers and Porsche Charging Service. Buyers also get a driving experience at the manufacturer’s Silverstone Experience Centre.
