Nissan has announced prices for its new Juke crossover. £12,795 gets you an entry level model… and dealers will take you order from next month and deliver the first cars to owners in September.

As with its big brother, the Qashqai, the Juke will be sold with a choice or two- or four-wheel-drive. There’ll be a choice of three engines: a 115bhp 1.6 petrol, a 109bhp diesel and a feisty 188bhp 1.6 petrol turbo.

Trim levels follow those of other Nissans. Visia is the cheapest and comes with alloy wheels, sports seats, air conditioning and six airbags. The mid-level Acenta adds bigger alloy wheels, climate controlled air conditioning, Bluetooth, USB connectivity and Nissan’s Dynamic control system.

Tekna models top the range and feature a leather-trimmed cabin, keyless entry and start, and a reversing camera. There are also option packs which add to Acenta trim.

All models are front-wheel drive save for the range-topping 1.6 petrol turbo Tekna with CVT six-speed transmission, which has all-wheel drive but also costs a cool £19,995.
