The Range Rover Evoque has just made its global public debut at the Paris Motor Show today. Land Rover anticipates that the new Evoque will create its own niche in the market.
The Evoque will arrive in showrooms in summer 2011 and Land Rover hope that its innovative design and bold exterior will attract a host of new customers as well as appealing to buyers looking for capability coupled with a slice of luxury.
The Evoque will be available to buy in three specs – a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine with 148bhp and 187bhp, and a petrol version which uses a 237bhp variant of Ford’s turbocharged 2.0-litre Ecoboost engine. Buyers will also have the option of a four-wheel or front-wheel-drive.
Its premium cabin displays a full-sized glass panoramic roof and includes a dual-view display for an 8-inch touch-screen and Surround Camera System.
Phil Popham said: "Range Rover is luxury, Land Rover is versatility and practicality. The Evoque has helped to define our brand positioning. It says a lot about where Range Rover can go in the future."
Land Rover plan to sell the new Evoque in 160 countries worldwide with prices starting from £30,000.
