PSA Group acquires Vauxhall and Opel from General Motors

French car giant PSA Group has acquired the European division of General Motors (GM). The buy-out, reported to be worth £1.9bn, will see the firm take over production of GM’s Vauxhall and Opel brands. PSA, which already produces DS Automobiles, Citroen and Peugeot vehicles, made the announcement at the Geneva Motor Show.
