Over 30 Ferraris up for auction at first UK-dedicated Ferrari sale

The UK’s first Ferrari-only sale will take place at Silverstone later this week, with highlights including a 1972 Ferrari Daytona and a 2014 F12 Berlinetta.

Silverstone Auctions, which holds supercar and classic car auctions throughout the year, is holding the auction in association with the Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain.

Among the cars in the line-up, two of Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay’s Ferraris are up for grabs. Jay Kay is renowned for his collection of Ferraris and even has a LaFerrari hypercar painted in a unique shade of green.

Cars range from supercars with estimates from as ‘little’ as £28,000, all the way up to £575,000 for classic models.

Highlights of the sale include a 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta with just 3,000 miles on the clock – offered with an estimate of between £325,000 and £375,000 – and what’s set to be the most valuable car of the sale, a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, which is an original UK car that’s covered just 35,000 miles. This is offered with an estimate of between £500,000 and £575,000.

Several vehicles are also being offered without reserve, too. An array of Ferrari memorabilia is also being auctioned off, including private registrations, original artwork and even children’s racing cars.

Nick Whale, managing director at Silverstone Auctions, said: “The Sale of Ferraris is a brand new auction for our 2018 calendar and the cars consigned to the sale are definitely some of the best in the country.

“This is the sale of the year for any serious Ferrari collector, with a range of cars spanning from the early ‘60s all the way up to the latest super cars from the legendary marque.”

The sale of Ferraris is being held at the Wing at Silverstone Circuit this Friday at 2.30pm, with lots available to view in the morning.
