While it has secretly held the affections of Playstation-owning teens for over 15 years thanks to it featuring heavily in the Gran Turismo video game series, Nismo, Nissan's high performance race and tuning division, remains relatively unknown to the wider motoring community.
Nissan is seeking to change that. Having introduced a Nismo performance version of its popular mainstream Juke crossover, the company is now releasing a series of short films, documenting the dynamic prowess of its sports car models.
The first, which you can view above, features Nissan's two-seater 370Z coupe. Powered by a 3.7-litre V6, it certainly has the brawn to compete with its contemporaries from Porsche and Audi.
But can it beat a base jumper to the bottom of a mountain pass in Switzerland? Well, we're about to find out, as Nissan has commissioned a video to answer the question that NO ONE is asking.
Watch as skydiver and racing driver go head-to-head in the stunning surrounds of the Susten Pass. While the race itself it quite tenuous, it showcases the dynamic talents of the 370Z ‚ and the sheer nerve of its pilot, and raises the profile of Nissan's performance division.
Fancy having a go yourself? We wouldn't advise it, but you can at least search for a used Nissan 370Z here.
