Mitsubishi has unveiled an updated version of its supermini, the Mirage.

The car has been given a ‘sharper and more dynamic’ look thanks to the addition of the brand’s ‘Dynamic Shield’ front end design. Furthermore, buyers are also treated to multi-bulb LED lamps.

The rear of the model is now wider and features squared-off corners as well as horizontal LED combination lamps.

The model also gets new 15-inch alloy wheels with two-tone diamond-cut styling. Two new colour choices – White Diamond and Sand Yellow – are available as well.

In the cabin, the Mirage has been given a ‘more elegant’ design. The front arm rests have been updated and soft-touch cloth has also been fitted. What’s more, a carbon effect finish has been included on the dashboard.

Upper trim levels are treated to a ‘sporty-look’ fabric/synthetic leather combination. It gets the addition of piping and stitching to the seat sides too.

Mitsubishi’s new Smartphone Display Audio (SDA) system can be had with the facelifted Mirage. It’s made up of a seven-inch touchscreen that allows for full smartphone connectivity, including Bluetooth hands-free calling and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Mirage is set to launch in early 2020, with final UK specifications to be revealed closer to then.
