The new Jeep Renegade will cost from £19,200 when it launches in the UK next month.

The sub-£20k starting price will buy you a basic Sport model with the new 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing 120bhp and 190Nm of torque.

Above this are three other trim levels – Longitude starting at £21,700, Limited from £24,400 and Trailhawk beginning at £30,805.

In terms of other powertrains, there’s a new 1.3-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit producing 150bhp or 180bhp and 270Nm of torque. In addition, you can opt for a 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel unit, offering 120bhp and 140bhp respectively.

Finally, the top-spec Trailhawk model is fitted with a 2.0-litre version of the Multijet II diesel engine, producing a potent 170bhp.

The new Renegade features a variety of upgrades from the previous model, including updated front styling, new powertrains with improved fuel economy, a refreshed interior, new LED headlights as standard on higher-spec models, new wheel designs and improved safety features.

The car is available with either two-wheel or four-wheel drive, with the latter designed to adapt to various road conditions, including snow, sand and mud.

Andrew Tracey, marketing director at Jeep UK, said: “The new Jeep Renegade has all the attributes of the last version, with a host of superb new features and a high level of standard equipment.

“Safety has been further enhanced and even greater fuel economy is offered, thanks to some excellent new engines.

“I am delighted to announce pricing of this new MY19 Renegade and am also pleased to confirm that the car will be available with 5-3-5, which consists of a five-year warranty, a three-year servicing programme, plus five years’ roadside assistance.”
