Honda has unveiled its all-new Jazz, which is only available with electrified powertrains.

The car will be offered with ‘e:HEV’ hybrid technology as standard, and will be the first model in the manufacturer’s line-up to feature ‘e:Technology’ branding, which will spread to future products.

The hatchback sports a new minimalist look that takes cues from the small Honda e city car. In addition, the A-pillar is half the width of the previous version, therefore improving forward visibility.

A new Crosstar variant is being added to the range, which includes crossover styling and an increased ride height, while still offering the same hybrid powertrains and interior features as the standard Jazz.

Honda claims the new Jazz offers class-leading levels of interior space. This new fourth-generation version also retains the brand’s ‘Magic Seats’ that can fold flat or flip up depending on how much cargo room the owner needs.

With regards to safety features, Honda says it ‘provides the most comprehensive suite of advanced safety features in its class’. One of the notable systems include the autonomous emergency braking system, which can apply the brakes when oncoming vehicles cut across or turn into the path of the car.

Sales of the new Honda Jazz are set to start in the middle of 2020.
