Child car seats have one purpose and one purpose only – to keep your children safe, no matter what the roads may throw at you. However, with dozens of child seats to choose from, picking the right one for your kids can be a complete minefield.
Britax has come to the rescue of well-heeled yummy mummies and daddies, though, with the only child seat posh parents could ever want their offspring to be seen in – a diamond-quilted, carbon fibre throne. The quilted cotton fabric is claimed to recreate the feel of the plush leather upholstery in a Bentley, while the carbon fibre shell harks back to the materials used in the construction of numerous high-end sports cars.
The ultimate car seat for style-conscious parents who don’t want to compromise on safety.
This limited edition £900 seat, the Britax Trifix Black Edition – emulating Audi’s Black Edition models – caters for toddlers aged nine months to four years old. Just 500 will be sold with only 100 reserved for the UK, making this one exclusive pew.
Manufacturer Britax describes the Black Edition model as “the ultimate car seat for style-conscious parents who don’t want to compromise on safety.” Helping to guarantee safety, this seat holds children in place tightly with a five-point harness and softly padded wings to protect occupants in the event of a side impact. In a nod towards practicality the seat also has a removable, washable cover.
With just 100 of these seats made available for the UK, expect to see affluent mums and dads fighting it out to get their hands on one of them in upmarket department stores this Christmas.
