The nation’s must drive supercars have been announced by driving experience provider TrackDays.

Topping the list of 10 cars with the most bookings was the V10-powered Lamborghini Gallardo (pictured above) which made up 19.5 per cent of driving experiences with the company.

Imran Malek, TrackDays operations manager, said: “Our latest research indicates that the Lamborghini Gallardo is by far the most popular supercar for Brits to drive if they had a chance.

“Perhaps that’s to be expected given that it’s among the pinnacle of Italian automotive styling with breath-taking looks, coupled with mighty performance figures.”

Sitting in second is the Audi R8 with 12.1 per cent of bookings, followed by the Nissan GT-R, which accumulated 9.1 per cent.

Two Aston Martins made the list. The sporty V8 Vantage took fourth place (nine per cent), meanwhile the V12-powered DB9 came in eighth (seven per cent). Another UK-made product also managed to get on the list – the lightweight Ariel Atom sitting seventh (7.2 per cent).

Malek added: “It’s great to see that Brits have such a fondness for British models which make up almost a third of our most desirable supercars to drive.”

Other supercars to note include the Ferrari F430 (nine per cent), Ferrari 360 (8.3 per cent), BMW i8 (2.8 per cent) and Porsche 911 Carrera (1.9 per cent).
