Boy pranked with Tesla’s autopilot system

May 19, 2016 | By | In News, Video

An American youngster fell foul of a fatherly prank recently, when his Dad decided to make the most of his Tesla Model S’s summon function.

As the boy sat in the electric car playing on his mobile phone, it began to move.

Startled, the youngster panics and begins to shout for his father, in hilarious footage captured on a GoPro mounted behind the steering wheel.

“Oh no, no, no,” he shouts, hitting at the dashboard but to no avail. Turning around in his seat he calls for his father, without realising that his parent is the one causing the car to move.

When the vehicle comes to a halt outside the garage, the boy expresses his concern that he will be in trouble, commenting: “Dad’s gonna kill me.”

However, his prankster father then opens the drivers door cackling, eliciting an exclamation of “you suck!” from the boy.
