Bond villain car to feature at Autosport show

December 10, 2015 | By | In News

Those attending the 2016 Autosport International show will be treated to a close up look at one of the cars from this year’s James Bond movie, Spectre.

Two Jaguar C-X75s driven by on-screen villain Hinx will be displayed at the show, which is being held at Birmingham’s NEC. One of these cars will be in the live action arena.

The car was used for a chase that saw Bond being followed by Hinx through the streets of Rome. Actor David Bautista played the villainous Hinx in the film.

The event, which takes place on 14-16 January, also features Damon Hill’s Williams Formula 1 car in which he won the 1996 Drivers’ Championship title. As an extra special treat, Hill will also be attending the show.

The C-X75 was provided by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations for Spectre, and those on display at the show were used in the filming. Visitors to the show will be treated to a display by one of the Jaguars, which have been specially prepared for high-speed stunts.

Ian France, Autosport International show director said: “To have one of the genuine Jaguar C-X75 cars from Spectre on display at Autosport International is incredible enough, but to have another performing in the Live Action Arena is a real treat.

"To see and hear one of the James Bond franchise’s most incredible stunt cars that we saw recently on the silver screen is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
