Bentley’s bespoke Mulliner division, which builds unique creations for its well-heeled customers, has revealed its version of the Continental GT Convertible.

Said to ‘redefine the pinnacle of roof-down automotive luxury’, the car gets plenty of unique additions, such as 22-inch alloy wheels designed by Mulliner, as well as a ‘double diamond’ front grille and branded side vents.

In the cabin, there are eight colour combinations available, a new Breitling timepiece embedded in the dashboard and a ‘Naim for Bentley’ audio system with 18 speakers.

Additionally, the interior’s style was inspired by Bentley’s diamond-in-diamond quilted upholstery – it requires 400,000 stiches across the cabin and each stich is aligned to point towards the centre of the diamond it creates. The British manufacturer claims developing this embroidery process took 18 months.

Under the bonnet, the model can be had with either of the standard Bentley Continental GT’s V8 and W12 engines. The latter is a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged unit with a 0-60mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 207mph, while the former is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged motor which aids a 0-60mph of 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 198mph.

The model will be officially unveiled at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
