Audi has showcased its updated UK Q3 range, which includes the special Black Edition.
The dark detailing which has proved so popular on the German carmaker’s other models, including the A4, A5, A6 and A7 Sportback, has made a move to the compact SUV.
The Black Edition will sit atop the updated range, which also includes the Sport and S line Edition, and will be available later this month, priced from £26,600 on the road.
Replacing the entry-level SE model, Sport will boast SD navigation as standard and feature larger front air vents and a body-coloured front diffuser.
Meanwhile, the previous S line Navigation models become S line Edition. This trim gains cruise control and the Audi Parking System Plus as standard, and features a revised front end, which includes a distinctive horizontal strut underneath pronounced air inlets and a new diamond-pattern mesh design.
A Single Frame grille with a new high gloss finish is much more eye-catching than that on the previous guise.
Finally, the Black Edition replaces the previous S line plus model, adding metallic paint, rear privacy glass and a Bose sound system to the model’s already extensive spec. The dark theme is evident through touches such as piano black inlays, and a gloss black finish on the 19-inch alloy wheels, wheel arch cappings, Single Frame grille surround, roof rails, rear spoiler and tailpipes.
Four TDI and TFSI engines will be available across the range, offering up to 62.8mpg with CO2 rating as little as 117g/km.
