Porsche reveals all-new 718 Boxster

Porsche has revealed its all-new 718 Boxster.

Offered in both standard and ‘S’ forms, the 718 Boxster represents one of Porsche’s most successful models ever.

It is offered with both a 2.0-litre and 2.5-litre turbocharged in the standard and ‘S’ model car respectively. The former produces 300bhp, while the ‘S’ manages to push that figure up to 350bhp.

The 718 manages the sprint to 60mph in just 4.2 seconds, with the top speed of the standard car at 170mph and the ‘S’ as 177mph.

Not only is power up on the previous model, but so is economy – up 13 per cent from the last generation.

The 718 also has newly-tuned suspension, uprated brakes and a completely redesigned exterior. The whole car features a wider track, which incorporates bigger air intakes. There are also newly designed Bi-Xenon headlights, which have integrated LED running lights.

At the rear, the 718 now has an integrated Porsche badge between the tail lights. On all four corners are standard 19-inch wheels, with 20-inch units available as an optional extra.

The interior incorporates a new instrument panel. Porsche Communication Management allows mobile phone connectivity, audio player and 110 watts of audio through the Sound Package Plus.

The new Porsche 718 Boxster is prices from £41,739 for the standard car and from £50,695 for the Boxster S. First deliveries of the car will begin in Spring of this year.
