This month marks the launch of the new Mazda2 3 door model, on sale for £7,999.
The new Mazda2 is set to take president over the small car range and will be available in a 1.3 petrol or a 1.4-litre diesel. A 1.5-litre petrol version will follow in July.
The car has been labelled as one of the most price competitive small cars in the UK, available at £7,999 on the road, and it features all the technology and attributes of the five-door hatchback while maintaining the sporty persona.
The new Mazda2 is lighter than the previous 5 door model and the inclusion of ultra-high tensile steels have created a car that boasts excellent fuel consumption and low CO2 emissions.
Mark Cameron, Mazda UK marketing director said: “Demand for the new Mazda2 5dr has been greater than we anticipated and the arrival of the new three-door model, with its special appeal to a different group of consumers, will accelerate sales to a much higher level,”
Mazda anticipates that up to 50 per cent of new Mazda2 buyers will choose the three-door body style and that a large number will opt for the highly specified ‘Sport’ version.
