McLaren has released its latest high-performance sports car – the 570GT.
Designed to be the most luxurious and refined McLaren ever, the 570GT offers more storage space and a more comfortable cabin.
It also features Pirelli Noise Cancelling Systems, which quietens the cabin for a more relaxed ride, while a panoramic roof gives both driver and passenger a truly unique experience.
Though luxurious, the 570GT is no slouch thanks to a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 562bhp and 600Nm of torque, powered to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. With a top speed of 204mph the 570GT is a truly quick supercar, and a 0-62mph time of 3.4 seconds is fast enough to impress even the most track-hardened driver.
Newly developed suspension means that the 570GT is a comfortable long distance cruiser, and a reduced spring stiffness rate makes the McLaren even easier to live with. It still features McLaren’s famous gullwing doors, as well as many aerodynamic features that make the 570GT even more stable at higher speeds.
The 570GT comes with a starting price of £154,000, with the first of the UK’s deliveries beginning to take place from late 2016.
It comes fitted with large 19-inch alloy wheels shod in Pirelli P-Zero tyres, which, along with a lightweight composite braking system, provide excellent traction and stopping performance. An extended rear spoiler provides additional performance, and even greater downforce at high speed. This spoiler is 10mm taller than those fitted to Coupe models.
