Audi have revealed the ultimate version of its R8 supercar – the V10 Plus Selection 24H.
Designed to be as close to a race car as possible, the R8 features a host of extra equipment to make it an even more attractive proposition.
Only 24 cars will be built, with all being fitted with Audi’s laser lighting. It also features dynamic steering and adaptive damping, which means that the V10 Plus Selection 24HR will be even more impressive on the road than the standard car.
Powered by a V10 engine, the R8 is capable of reaching 62mph in just 3.2 seconds. Thanks to a close relationship between the road and race car, the R8 is just as exciting to drive as the track car that was developed alongside it.
Designed to celebrate the carmaker’s relationship between road and race cars, the Selection 24HR features a tricolour paint job, with carbon fibre used for the front spoiler, exterior mirror housings and engine compartment cover. Even the tailpipes are given a unique treatment, with black trims added. The R8 sits on 20-inch forged aluminium wheels in a 10-spoke design, painted gloss black.
Inside, lucky owners will see an interior finished in leather, with an alcantara headlining maintain the premium feel. It also has illuminated door sill trims and entry lights that project the Audi R8 on to the road surface.
The car will be on public display for the first time at the upcoming Nurburgring 25 Hours race.
