Audi has revealed its latest incarnation of the popular A5.
Offered in both two and four-door layouts, the A5 is now more efficient than the previous incarnation, as well as being faster and with greater amounts of technology.
With two petrol and three diesel engines on offer, there’s an engine to suit all drivers. These can be accompanied with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system, ideal for British roads. LED front and rear lights add to the technology on board, providing excellent night time visibility.
Inside, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit has been installed. This has already been used on the TT, A4 and A3, and puts all of the car’s main information right in front of the driver. Replacing the traditional binnacle displays, it is incredibly clear in relaying data back to the person behind the wheel.
On top of this Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also fitted, with gives owners even greater integration between their smartphone and the car. A complimentary three-month service to Audi connect also comes with the car, bringing with it the ability to use apps and navigation on the move.
Interior ambient lighting can also be specified, and the A5’s boot has also been redesigned. It can now offer 465 litres of storage – 10 litres more than the previous model. The rear seats can also be split to provide even more loading room.
At the top of the range sits the S5, which comes with a 340bhp engine, capable of sending the car from 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds.
