Aston Martin is launching a new track driving experience across Europe for customers of the brand.

Known as the AMR Driver’s Club (AMR standing for Aston Martin Racing), the programme lets Aston Martin owners get behind the wheel of the firm’s models at famous circuits, with expert tuition and coaching on offer.

The firm aims to offer something for those of all abilities — from newbies to those looking to race professionally.

AMR Experience is the ‘entry-level’ option, which allows customers to be introduced to the brand and the firm’s cars, while owners can also explore their own models on track.

The next step up is the AMR Academy, where drivers are trained alongside professional instructors with the aim of developing their track driving capabilities and working their way towards the AMR GT Academy. This is when they will start driving track-ready models and will receive even better tuition designed to support those looking at getting a racing licence.

This year’s track experiences start in March and run through to October. Silverstone and Brands Hatch are the only UK circuits in the 2019 calendar, with other tracks offered including Hockenheim in Germany and the famous Spa Francorchamps in Belgium.

Sebastien Delmaire, director of Aston Martin Partnerships, said: “Our customers have been inquiring about this type of programme for a while now so we are delighted to be able to offer such a strong and structured package of experiences.

“From the customer who would like to know what his or her Aston Martin is capable of, from the manufacturer who designed and built their car, to those wishing to hone their track skills with future ambitions of racing, we have it covered.”

Packages range from £750 to £7,600, which are inclusive of hospitality and accommodation, depending on the course.

Aston Martin’s current range comprises of the Vantage sports car, the Rapide saloon and the DB11 and DBS Superleggera grand tourers.

Further cars in the pipeline from the Gaydon-based manufacturer include the DBX, Aston Martin’s first SUV, as well as the new Valkyrie hypercar, which utilises technology from F1 cars and is set to be built in partnership with Red Bull Racing.
