New Audi Q7 drives away Yeti

Audi has released a video showing that its new Q7 SUV is not only capable off-road, but can also scare away a Yeti.

In this promotional video for the latest-generation Q7, tribe elders sit together speaking of the mysterious beast that drove away the fearsome Yeti from the Himalayas.

They call the beast “Quattro” – saying that it is “agile like a lynx” and “quick as an avalanche”.

It’s good to see that the carmaker has a light-hearted approach to advertising, especially taking into account the recent emissions problems.

The new Q7 will be the most technically advanced yet, featuring a lighter body to reduce emissions, as well as the choice between a 3.0-litre diesel, 3.0-litre supercharged and 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine.

The new lightweight body, along with a lighter aluminium chassis means that the new Q7 is 325kg lighter than the previous model.
