MINI has always positioned itself as a stylish, fashionable brand ever since its rebirth in 2001. With the launch of the new Clubman, MINI has taken the fashion angle one step further.
Unveiled on Caranby Street in the heart of London, the latest incarnation of the Clubman was released at the start of London Fashion Week.
The car was accompanied by ‘Gentleman Blogger’ and fashion expert Matthew Zorpas who was dressed in Pitti Imagination Uomo collection which had been created exclusively for MINI. MINI chose Caranby Street as it’s the fashionable and spiritual home of the original Mini.
The Clubman, which builds on the popularity of the previous model, still features the side-hinged rear doors giving access to the larger load area. Powering the Clubman is a choice of three engines from a 136bhp petrol engine up to a 192bhp petrol engine. Sitting in the middle is a 150bhp diesel engine which has the best economy of the three, achieving 68.9mpg. This impressive economy figure also places the Clubman in VED band B, lowering running costs for those looking for a more affordable long-term engine choice.
All engines are available in manual or 8-speed automatic transmissions. The 192bhp model Cooper S achieves 60mph in just over 7 seconds.
Sales start on 31st October 2015, with the entry-level manual Cooper starting at £19,995, continuing up to £24,455 for an automatic Cooper S.
