Mazda has revealed a special edition MX-5 – called the Sport Recaro.
Building on the success of the standard two-seat sports car, the Sport Recaro adds styling enhancements for both the interior and exterior of the MX-5.
Limited to 600 cars, the Sport Recaro features a sports kit that includes a rear spoiler, front and side skirts and piano black door mirrors. The Sport Recaro also rides on 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, and has the MX-5 logo engraved upon them.
The interior features extra equipment, too. The dashboard panel is now finished in Alcantara that comes alongside alloy pedals. On top of this, buyers are treated to red seat piping and Alcantara upholstery on the seat cushions.
Of course, the Sport Recaro features heated Recaro seats designed to offer the most amount of driver support and comfort.
The standard equipment also includes LED headlights, climate control air-conditioning and integrated Bluetooth connectivity. Bilstein dampers and a limited-slip differential also provide the Sport Recaro with excellent road handling, which has been at the heart of the MX-5’s popularity.
A 2.0-litre petrol engine powers the Sport Recaro. It is also available in a choice of two no-cost optional colours, Soul Red Metallic and Ceramic Metallic. The Sport Recaro is the first special edition fourth-generation MX-5 to have been released, and is individually badged, with the plaque displaying the build number located on the centre storage box lid.
The MX-5 Sport Recaro is available to order now, with prices starting at £24,295.
