Maserati lend their support to WOMAC at London Fashion Week.
Maserati has teamed up with London model agency, Independent, to lend support to WOMAC (Women On the Move Against Cancer) throughout London Fashion Week.
London Fashion Week, held on 10-15 February, plays host to over 50 trend setting designers who are exhibiting their Autumn/Winter collections for 2008. This year, Maserati have created a Masarati Calandra T-shirt which was inspired by Maserati’s iconic grille. The T-shirt will be worn by celebrities and top models from Independent throughout the week with the proceeds being donated to WOMAC.
WOMACis made upof over 65 female volunteers working in the motor and associated industries. The charity’s aim is to help continue the fight against cancer by supporting events and projects, searching for more effective treatments or improving the quality of life for cancer sufferers, their families and carers. For further information on WOMAC please log onto www.womac.co.uk.
The main venue for this year’s London Fashion Week is the British Fashion Council Tent at the Natural History Museum. A variety of elegant Quattroportes and the new Maserati GranTurismo will transport celebrities and internationally known supermodels such as Jodie Kidd, Erin O’Connor and Twiggy to and from the catwalk shows and to other events taking place in the Capital throughout the week.
The Calandra t-shirts will be on sale at Harrods until 23rd February directly from the Maserati window display on Brompton Road. They are also available from the on-line Maserati store www.maseraticollection.com
