It’s show season again folks, and the Detroit Motor Show is one of the highlights of the automotive calendar. Running from January 14-27 2013, the latest and greatest motors from around the world are showcased to the public and press, with a few surprises to boot.
This year, there are some hugely impressive cars on show, and journalists have been salivating to get their views heard first. From family friendly SUVs to premium sports cars, the bottom line is that 2013 will see some serious style and performance hit the market. Some of the ‘must see’ attractions that really stand out from the crowd include:
This gorgeous sports car carries on the Corvette name with pride, and with its 6.2 litre V8 petrol engine that produces 450 horse powers, it’s certainly not short on grunt. While performance figures have been kept secret, there’s every reason to believe the 0-60 mph time will be sub 4 seconds.
An absolute work of automotive art, the CLA is a four door coupe that will be positioned just below the C-class and cost around £25,000. Designed to be ‘affordable’ and a step up from the A-class, it’s clearly going to be a very popular choice.
To say the HCD-14 was luxurious and stunningly designed would be an understatement. It’s powered by a 5.0 litre V8 petrol engine and features some interesting elements like rear hinged doors and a whole lot of aluminium. You’ll definitely want to take a closer look at this!
The Honda Urban SUV is meant to be a step up from the acclaimed Jazz, and offers a bit more space and overall practicality.
